Presentation Title:

I’ll have the works! What quantum networking means at AFRL

Presentation Abstract:

What does it mean for a research team to focus on quantum networking? What does it mean for a government laboratory to operate a quantum network testbed? Inspired by recent conversations trying to answer these questions, I present a handful of recent efforts in quantum networking at AFRL’s Information & Spectrum Warfare Directorate in Rome, NY. These include photon qubit basis conversion for heterogeneous networking, a variety of superconducting circuit and quantum microwave-optical transduction results, as well as some recent demonstrations at AFRL’s Stockbridge test site. I will close by examining how  our roadmap answers the questions above.
