Dr. Chen received his PhD from Washington University in St. Louis in 2018. He then held a postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for Quantum Sensors at Washington University (2019-2022). He continued his research there as a postdoc (2022-2024) and then as a staff scientist (2024). In 2024, he became an Assistant Professor at NC State. Dr. Chen currently leads an experimental research lab that leverages the extreme controllability and flexibility of superconducting circuits to explore quantum physics and applications.
