Rusty is a four-decade veteran of HVAC, having worked for major OEMs in product design and regulatory affairs for 38 years before semi-retiring to do consulting. Rusty has been active in both domestic and international product safety standards and application safety standard activities. Rusty is former chair of ASHRAE SSPC15, the 15.2 subcommittee, is still a voting member of SSPC15 and its subcommittees.  Rusty currently chairs the CANENA THSC61D committee developing the 4.1 and 5.0 editions of UL/CSA 60335-2-40. Rusty also chairs ISO TC86 SC1, which is responsible for ISO 5149 among other standards. He is, unfortunately, a Dallas Cowboys fan.
