Is there an online/virtual participation option?

No. A virtual participation option is not available this year.

Will workshop presentations/proceedings be distributed after the event?

After the workshop, presenters will have the option to share a PDF of their presentation on the website. Conference organizers will share a release form for signature and collate presentations, and have the sharable presentations posted before December 31.

Will a list of participants be provided?

No.

How are speakers selected?

A Program Committee determines the workshop topics and speakers each year, considering the latest developments and issues of interest to the MSR community. However, as MSR research and activity increases, there is more to discuss than can be reasonably highlighted during the main program! This is a good problem to have, so the lightning talks and poster session signups were added to provide more participation opportunities. Please reach out to the General Chair to propose topics and talks for 2026.

Why is there a registration fee and what does the fee cover?

The workshop is run under a cost-recovery approach where registration fees and sponsorships offset the event costs, e.g., meals, venue, IT equipment, and IT operators.

What are the cancellation and refund details?

Workshop fees are refundable, until a specified cut-off date, and are subject to a transaction fee of $50. Please review the registration form for details. Please use the Contact page on the event website to request a cancellation of your registration. If you need to cancel your hotel reservations, please reach out to the hotel to cancel a reservation within 72 hours before the check-in date or the hotel may charge the credit card one night’s room fee plus any applicable taxes. No-shows will forfeit the first night room revenue for the dates of the reservation. For questions or clarifications, please contact the hotel.
