Dr. Zachary Sims of SmallBCC is the Technical Director of Laboratory Capability Integration and Transition under contract with Air Force Global Strike Command. In his role he works to find solutions to the complex, mission critical needs of the Air Force by leveraging the science and engineering excellence of the national labs and academia. Prior to this role, Dr. Sims gathered more than 10 years of combined research and development experience in advanced materials and manufacturing between Oak Ridge and Lawrence Livermore National Labs. The potential impact of his team’s work was recognized through their receiving an FLC and R&D 100 Award.  He holds a B.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee Knoxville.
