Presentation Title:
AI for Science: Enabling the HPC Datacenter of the Future
Presentation Abstract:
The proportion of HPC compute capability provided by general-purpose processors has been eclipsed by specialized accelerators. This shift has enabled new computational techniques which are being adopted by every consumer of compute cycles. The HPC community must continue to evaluate these changes and to adopt new architectures, techniques, and workflows which will take advantage of commodity products and open-source software on the market now and in the future. As a designer of processors and accelerators on the leading edge of this transformation, Advanced Micro Devices will present an overview of the current opportunities before the HPC community as well as trends in product design that will enable the hybrid AI and HPC workflows of the next few years.
