Mr. Marshall is a power systems engineering expert with more than four decades of experience spanning electric utility engineering and operations, technical consulting, and applied research. His expertise includes power system analysis and design, grid reliability and resilience, power quality, system planning, and the integration of large-scale wind, solar, and energy storage resources, with a current focus on large-scale data center infrastructure. He has held senior roles at major investor-owned utilities, led consulting organizations serving utilities across North America and internationally, and served as a power systems subject matter expert supporting federal energy research initiatives. He is an industry advisor to the Rowan University Digital Engineering Hub and an advisor to the Department of Homeland Security EMP Task Force.
In his role as Vice President of Consulting at DRG Technical Solutions, Mr. Marshall leads teams performing transmission and distribution planning, system analysis, and applied research focused on strengthening grid reliability and resilience. His teams are actively supporting data center projects ranging from 5 MW distribution interconnections to 4 GW transmission-connected facilities.
Mr. Marshall is a registered Professional Engineer in multiple states and the author or co-author of more than 40 industry publications.
