Zach Boykin is principal technical advisor for Defense Industrial Base (DIB) investments to the Assistant Secretary of War for Industrial Base Policy. As the technical director, Boykin guides defense investment strategies across all DIB sectors to strengthen secure manufacturing capabilities for America and its allies. Previously, he managed the Department of War’s Strategic and Critical Materials investments. Over the past 15 years, he has held roles at federal agencies including operations chief for the Time Dominant Operations Center; senior project manager for Data and Digital Innovation; and senior imagery scientist in the Advanced Weapons Technology Center. In addition to his civilian career, Boykin served in the U.S. Air Force and the Colorado Air National Guard.
