Slade Gardner

Dr. Slade Gardner is the president of Big Metal Additive (BMA), a manufacturing company using large scale metal additive manufacturing to produce customer products. Gardner has led BMA from startup to an internationally recognized company serving customers for all branches of defense. Under his leadership, BMA was awarded the 2023 AM Technical Achievement Award from the Military Additive Manufacturing Summit. Previously, Slade was a distinguished Fellow at Lockheed Martin Space Systems and Fellow at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Skunk Works™. He has served on national laboratory, U.S. government, additive manufacturing standards committees and industry boards.
