Martin van Staden

Martin van Staden serves as X-energy’s chief technology officer overseeing the Xe-100 Reactor’s development and manufacturing. He currently leads an inhouse design team of approximately 250 engineers that is supported by approximately 600 sub-contractors across 30 different organizations. Previously, he led design of the Xe-100 Reactor as vice president for design engineering. In 2020, he was appointed as the Xe-100 program manager to lead the nonrecurring engineering development for the Xe-100 plant for deployment as part of the Advanced Reactor Demonstration Program supported by the U.S. Department of Energy. He currently leads an inhouse design team of approximately 250 engineers that is supported by approximately 600 sub-contractors across 30 different organizations.
