Hamdy Abouelella

Dr. Hamdy Abouelella is a research scientist at GE Vernova’s advanced research center specializing in nuclear materials, environmental and mechanical testing, alloy design, and advanced manufacturing. Abouelella serves as co-principal investigator on several U.S. Department of Energy funded programs focused on accident-tolerant nuclear fuel cladding, advanced structural alloys, dissimilar-metal welding, and additively manufactured transition joints. His work supports the development of safer nuclear reactors, more durable power-generation components, and high-performance materials for extreme operating environments.
