Dr. Md Anisur Rahman is a synthetic polymer chemist and R&D staff scientist in soft matter at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. He designs, synthesizes, and characterizes advanced polymeric materials for energy and sustainability applications. Rahman’s research encompasses recyclable polymers, including vitrimers, self-healing materials, reversible high-performance adhesives, and recyclable fiber-reinforced composites, as well as well-defined polymers for energy storage and polymeric sorbents for critical-mineral separation.
