Joseph Sylvia leads the development and deployment of composite-core overhead conductors as grid-enhancing solutions for new and existing T&D infrastructure across the U.S. and Canada. For nearly a decade, he has worked across the key stages of these systems, from pultrusion manufacturing and laboratory qualification to installation best practices and the establishment of international production facilities. Sylvia collaborates with policymakers, developers, utilities, contractors, and manufacturing partners to integrate composite-core conductors into major grid projects and reconductoring programs. His work focuses on delivering safe, reliable, and cost-effective capacity on an aging power grid, using composite technology to strengthen the grid for future demand.
