John Shultz is the deputy director of the Warfighting Investments, Resourcing, and Execution (WIRE) Office within the Office of the Assistant Secretary of War (OASW) for Industrial Base Policy (IBW). He oversees WIRE’s strategic investments in critical manufacturing capabilities leveraging the authorities of the Defense Production Act and Industrial Base Fund. Shultz previously served as the OASW IBW’s chief operating officer where he was responsible for congressional oversight and reporting, correspondence and records management, and spearheading strategic initiatives on behalf of the Assistant Secretary. He is the former director of Sustainment Maintenance Technologies and Industrial Base Strategy in the OASW for Materiel Readiness. Shultz also served as depot maintenance policy lead for the Army’s Maintenance Policy and Programs Directorate of the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff G-4, Headquarters Department of the Army. He began his career in 2007 at Tobyhanna Army Depot.
