Thomas Williams leads Carpenter Technology business units focused on aerospace engines, upstream oil and gas, and power generation.  He is responsible for industry technical engagement, commercial strategy, and new product development.  In his role, Thomas leads a global business unit with annual revenues exceeding $200M.

Additionally, he has guided qualification of Carpenter’s facilities and products with major industry partners and is a co-inventor of US Patent US11105167B2.  Prior to joining Carpenter Technology, Thomas worked as a research and development engineer at Baker Hughes where he focused on production monitoring technologies.

His professional experience also includes work in flight research at the NASA Armstrong (Dryden) Flight Research Center and Texas A&M Flight Research Laboratory.  He is a licensed professional engineer in the State of Texas, a member of Texas A&M University’s Materials Science and Engineering Department industry advisory board, and a private pilot.

Thomas holds a B.S. in Aerospace Technology from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville and his Masters in Aerospace Engineering from Texas A&M University.
