Pete had a 25-year career in the U.S. federal government, starting at the Pentagon and rising to become a Senior Executive Service member. He served under four presidential administrations, three cabinet agencies, and the President’s Executive Office. He was appointed Chief Technology Officer at two cabinet-level agencies, the U.S. Department of Energy and the U.S. Department of Education.
Pete is a skilled entrepreneur, business executive, and technology strategist with over 30 years of experience. He enjoys collaborating with government, industry, investors, and academic ecosystems to develop innovative solutions and accelerate their sustainable adoption. Pete is also a trusted thought leader, possessing corporate knowledge and technical expertise. He holds several roles on Strategic Advisory Boards, where organizations can leverage his skills to facilitate digital transformation, mitigate supply chain risk, and support global growth, especially in the Smart and Secure Cities/Communities field.
Pete is committed to developing and demonstrating repeatable, scalable, and sustainable models for creating and implementing interoperable, secure, standards-based solutions that modernize digital, physical, and social infrastructure. This simplifies the delivery and utilization of public, private, and hybrid services in a more efficient, cost-effective, and socially advantageous way. For his efforts, Pete was recognized as one of the “10 Most Influential CEOs to Watch in 2021” and as a “2026 Engage Fed Citizen Services 150 recipient.”
Pete holds a B.A. in Communications from Villanova University and an M.S. in Information and Telecommunications Systems from Johns Hopkins University. He is fortunate to have an amazing wife, Betsy, along with four exceptional children: Jacob, Joshua, Gabrielle, and Zachary. Additionally, they share an Australian Labradoodle named Phineas Maximus Tseronis and a Bernedoodle named Rocco Balboa Tseronis.
