Danny Johnson brings 40 + years of engineering and management experience. As SVP, he leads Southwestern’s compliance program, including IT, EHSS (Environmental, Health, Safety & Security), and Reliability Compliance. He represents the agency at senior levels, drives strategic planning, and serves as a liaison with the energy sector and government organizations. Previously, Danny served as Director of EHSS, advancing SWPA’s transmission system security, safety awareness and training, and environmental programs. Before that, as Director of Maintenance, he managed field operations and ensured compliance with NERC, OSHA, NESC, and environmental regulations. Earlier in his career, he spent 29 years as an electrical/electronics engineer specializing in telecommunications, industrial controls, and power transmission systems.
