Event Description
As more inverters are integrated in the power grid, the first workshop’s focus is on understanding the transients in the power grid and the need for electromagnetic transient (EMT) simulations. Various use cases, studies, and models in EMT are discussed at this 2-day workshop along with the gaps and challenges that need to be resolved in such simulations. There were 90+ attendees with 22 presentations on various topics that helped formulate the path forward for research and development on EMT simulations.
